WMP | Episode 3 | Launching a successful wedding venue in 6 weeks.

On Episode 3 of the Wedding Mavericks podcast I am interviewing Jane & Ben, the owners of New Craven Hall. This unique, industrial/urban venue in Leeds was transformed from ex-nightclub into a stunning wedding venue in just 6 weeks after Jane and Ben identified a gap in the market to create a wedding venue that people like them would want to celebrate in.

Jane & Ben from New Craven Hall

This week on the Wedding Mavericks podcast I am talking with two of the most friendly and down to earth people in the wedding industry. You can get so much great inspiration and helpful learning points from this episode about starting and building any wedding business, but specifically if you are looking to open a venue.

Jane and Ben are the owners of New Craven Hall, a unique, urban/industrial wedding and events venue just outside the centre of Leeds in West Yorkshire. They explain how, without any direct experience of working at a wedding venue, they had an idea to convert a warehouse that had previously been the home of a nightclub. In the space of just 6 weeks they went from an idea, to opening the doors. Soon after they were hosting some of the best wedding celebrations in the north of England, and booked up all year round!

Creating the venue that we would want to celebrate at.

There was a gap in the market. Jane and Ben were a young couple enjoying the nightlife of Leeds and knew there wasn’t a venue for weddings and higher end events that reflected the places they enjoyed spending time in. They knew of a space that could be turned into the perfect wedding venue and from a casual conversation over dinner one night New Craven Hall was created!
